About Us

100% Practicing

Veterinarian Owned

More than just consultants, we're advocates. We believe in the vital role independent practices play in the veterinary landscape, and we're passionate about helping them flourish. Born amidst the surge of corporate consolidation, Privet offers veterinary business consulting for independent veterinary practices.

We know your struggles firsthand. We've lived through the late nights, navigated the emotional investment, and faced the unique challenges of running a private practice. That's why we don't offer generic advice or one-size-fits-all solutions. We go beyond the surface into your specific practice, goals, and values. This translates into a deeper understanding of your concerns and a laser focus on crafting solutions that address your specific needs, tailored to the current industry climate.

Partnering with Privet isn't just an investment in your business, it's an investment in your independence, your values, and the future of veterinary medicine.

Partnering for Progress: Ensuring Quality Care in a Changing Industry

Corporate giants are entering the field, and it's raising important questions for independent practice owners like you. Explore the potential impact of corporatization on your business, covering aspects like: financial pressures and competition, maintaining client loyalty and trust, adapting your practice model for success, and navigating ethical considerations.

01

Debt Burden

Corporate-owned practices often hold significant debt from acquisitions, potentially leading to pressure to maximize profits through higher patient volumes and unnecessary tests.

02

Burnout and Turnover

Studies suggest higher burnout rates among veterinarians in corporate settings, linked to factors like pressure to meet quotas and limited decision-making autonomy. This can contribute to higher staff turnover, impacting continuity of care.

03

Limited Choice of Treatment Options

Some vets express concerns about corporate protocols potentially restricting their ability to choose the most appropriate treatment for individual animals, prioritizing standardized approaches over personalized care. Further, some worry that corporate ownership of veterinary practices could lead to conflicts of interest, such as promoting specific products or services from affiliated companies over what's best for the animal.

04

Focus on Quantity Over Quality

Concerns exist that the emphasis on efficiency and profit in corporate models could compromise the quality of care animals receive, possibly leading to rushed consultations and overutilization of diagnostics.
